I don’t know why, but the swim went great tonight. It all just felt right and the whole set was closer approximatng practise as opposed to training… I’m pretty happy at the moment:
- 200 w/u
- 400 technique
- 16×100 on 1:45
- 4×50 (25 easy/hard)
- 100 w/d
The 100s were all under 1:30 until the 10th. I then managed to get 11 and 12 under 1:30 and from there they were all 1:31.
I’m just back from an enjoyable and moderately quick 12km run. I didn’t know what I would do when I left the apartment, but I got running and soon decided to just run for about an hour. The first half hour I just ran comfortably. After that I did 16 minutes pushing the pace a bit – still pretty comfortable. I then took it easy for the remaining 10 minutes.
- 11.8km, av HR: 147, RI 71, av. Pace 4:30/km
- Lap 1: 26:48, av. HR 140, av. Pace 4:38/km
- Lap 2: 15:55, av. HR 155, av. Pace 4:11/km
- Lap 3: 10:21, av. HR 151, av. Pace 4:44/km
Nice start to the week… I wonder if I will be able -in both senses of the word- to do Ursvik Extreme on Wednesday.
It’s now been 16 hours since my first tabata sprints and I feel fresh. This leads me to believe that there is not much benefit from them – I realise that quick conclusion based on next to nothing, but that’s where I am now. I will know for sure in the coming weeks when I see my progress -or lack there of- on the bike.
Today will be a zero!
The toughest 3 minutes and 50 seconds of my life!
- 15 min w/u
- 8 x (20 secs MAX, 10 secs easy)
- 2 mins w/d
My chest and legs hurt – I hope I have not done any damage to my none too resilient body.
